To provide year round opportunities for employees of the Telephone Industry, both active and retired, to foster and enjoy good fellowship and pleasure of camping, whether by themselves or at scheduled club activities. To set an example of courtesy on the highway and a model of conduct at meeting sites and at campgrounds. To encourage the growth of camping facilities, to study, advise and support all acts that perpetuate camping and that are in the interest of camping public. Our motto is … “Leave it cleaner than you found it”
The Bell Wagoneers is one of the many groups that make up the TPFC organization.                                     It was started in 1979, and is run by the members for their mutual benefit, and operates as a democracy, with each and every member having an opportunity to participate in Club decisions. Members can participate as little or as much as they want.

The normal Bell Wagoneers camping schedule is one weekend a month from April through October, usually the third weekend of the month. However, the wagonmaster can change the dates, if there is a conflict with another activity. On these campouts, we may have a potluck meal, a wine and cheese party, an afternoon coffee and tea get together, and an evening campfire. In addition, we have a holiday party in December and a winter meeting in February. Also, we participate in the annual TPFC international rally. Again, participation in these events is totally voluntary. The Bell Wagoneers also assist the Downstate Pioneer Chapter at their annual Sports Jamboree for visually impaired and wheelchair assisted children, and at other events.
